Holiness a radiant relationship

Holiness - A Radiant Relationship

May 9th - May 30th, 2018

Led by Lieut-Colonel Ian Southwell

What is holiness? Can we really be holy in God’s sight? If so, how and when can we be holy – in this life or the next? What does a holy lifestyle look like? Through a series of biblical reflections from both Old and New Testaments, anecdotes, activities and probing questions, you are invited to encounter God in fresh ways. You can step up to new levels in your relationship with God – and with others.

Wednesday 9 May: Why Holiness?

A brief overview of holiness teaching in various church traditions including Catholic, Reformed, Wesleyan and Pentecostal.
What questions about holiness would you like answered in the next three weeks?

Wednesday 16 May: What is holiness?

An attempt to address the many questions people have about holiness.

Wednesday 23 May: When can we be holy?

Is holiness possible in this life or only in the life to come?
If holiness is possible in this life, how can we be holy?

Wednesday 30 May: Where can we be holy?

What are the practical implications of holy living in society?
What commitments should we be making?

Registration fee of $20 will cover the cost of each participant receiving a copy of the Stairways Series book, Holiness – A Radiant Relationship by Ian Southwell (Salvo Publishing, Melbourne, 2012) some supplementary notes, and refreshments each night.

State Youth Games 2018 - Inspire

June 8th - June 11th, 2018

$100 - $175

SYG is a sporting and creative arts weekend run by Youth Vision over the Queen’s Birthday long weekend each year. This years’ event will run from the 8th – 11th of June. The weekend involves thousands of youth and young adults from churches across Victoria participating together in a variety of sporting events and creative arts workshops. The emphasis is not on winning but on having a great time, and the event is a lot of fun, regardless of participants’ abilities.

In 2018, SYG is exploring how God is with us at all times, dwelling with us, and speaking to us and INSPIRING us to act in love towards the world. God INSPIRES a vision for his world, a message for his people, and actions that we can take to bring his Kingdom closer.

God has a plan for this world, a plan that will heal the brokenness and divisions between people and restore the world to right relationship with him, with the created world, with others, and with ourselves.

As we listen to God, he shares his heart for the world and we are called to respond.
